We had a JP weekend last year that turned out pretty good, but I haven't seen talks for one this year. I'm not in contact with many JP people anymore, and I'm not sure if there'd be enough interest. Basically, this posts serves as a reminder and if people are interested then start drafting up an idea of dates to do this and how to get the word out. I can try and join after work but I dunno if much will be happening by then. As for getting the word out, the easiest way will probably be via the steam group, posting an announcement. Would be happy to call in sick for 2 days or so. Only setback would be if I got a new job right at the exact same time though, so I won't promise anything. I'm not even part of the JP stream group or have e-mails or anything like what we did last time. It was basically just to see if someone was interested in taking control and making it like last year. If this is going to be me setting it up I'd just make it the weekend before June 6th and call that good enough, so June 3rd-5th. Last year we tried to coordinate it between a bunch of us for the best date where the most people could make it. I'd be up to go to this thing, but I say just make it the weekend before and be done with it, whoever can make it can make it. My work schedule is unpredictable unfortunately. But I'll definitely be around some of whichever days they are. I'll contact who I can contact and try to see what dates work best. EDIT - well, I funked up. Sorry if I double spam someone here, I probably will a lot of peeps, but first I messaged only people who I personally tagged as JP, and not group members. On that note, if you know someone who's not in the group and if you have them on Steam or somewhere else where you frequently meet, just holler at them if it ain't much of a problem. EDIT2 - Gaben disapproves of messages to anyone not on my friends list, and I ain't chasing after people like that, I'm afraid. I was able to mount my discs and get it installed as well but I was running into an issue; was hoping this would fix it, but it's the same. I believe it's likely because I am running Ubuntu 16.04 and an AMD GPU with their native driver deprecated in this version. I can see the PCI device just won't let me run the game. Worse comes to worse, I'll go to a different distro.
