maugomale
Like I said on another topic, I don't know much about Hardware or PC building. Now I'm currently planning on getting a new PC and I need advice on choosing the hardware. Here's what I've chosen so far: Casemall R540Li CaseSeventeam ST-550PWL Power SupplySerial ATA 2 1Tb 64Mb - Western Digital HDGigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H MotherboardPhenom II x4 965 Black Ed. Processor 2Gb - DDR3 1333 - Kingston RAM x21Gb Radeon HD5770 Graphics Card Give me your opinions on what you think I should stick with and what should I change. C'mon guys, share your wisdom with me! >:U Oh, and also, I have no plans of buying a new monitor as of yet, though I'd like to have an opinion on what's better: LG or Samsung? Hardy
CPU. im an intel person, so I (Me) would go for an intel i5 processor. Mainboard. I'm biased with Gigabyte.Case. if the board fits in it, nothing else matters. I go for ATX.Power. 550watts or more is fine.RAM. 2gb is plently. 4 or more is useless unless yr in the programming/creative arts/recording industry. VIDEO. i mainly use Nvidia cards.get a samsung or sony dvd burner. and samsung is better then lg. don't reinstall everything. just ghost your old hdd onto your new one with norton ghost and do a 'repair' windows install. put your new drivers on and your good to go. Lucki
If you're looking for really good parts, Asus makes brilliant hardware.
GiantYoda
If you plan on Crossfiring your video card, I would suggest getting a 700w powersupply. Not necessary but its a thought for the future.

startana
I'd recommend using the largest diameter fans your case will accept. Larger fans will give better airflow, and be able to run at slower speeds than smaller fans, making them significantly quieter. I'd also recommend some kind of aftermarket sound card. I've had some weird audio issues with games in the past using integrated audio.
