Ok

1) I believe JA came out to linux, not sure, but if you want you could download either WINE or CrossOver to be able to install windows apps (and games) on Linux. Just a little link: http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=46

2) Beep as in an ECG? as in a flat line?. Anyways, if you cannot even access the dead HDD anymoar (as in browse it in MyPc and stuff), you might get lucky and save all teh pr0n if you take it to some radioshack and ask them to back it up.

Yes, there is a way, infact I do it myself.

1. Go to http://www.winehq.org/download/ubuntu and add the PPA, it shows you how.

2. Go to a terminal and type (without quotes) "sudo apt-get update".

3. Enter the Ubuntu Software Center and search for wine, install the "wine-mesa" package.

4. After you do that, go to a terminal and type (again without quotes) "winetricks directx9" al this does is install microsofts directx package, I'm not sure if this is necessary, but it doesn't hurt.

5. Insert the Jedi Academy cd and install the game like normal.

6. To play the game you will have to download these http://www.mediafire.com/?19u2vdo2d8r1ur1 This is linked from the AppDB of winehq.org of the JA page. (you can check) They are nocd patched, so no cds required.

7. Have fun!

Note. The game will not play as smooth as Windows; the game is located in the folder ~/.wine/drive_C/Program Files/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy (or something like that)

I hope this has helped.
