Semi
So uh lets get started. If you are user of ATI products you may know program called Catalyst Control Center. This program allows you to change your video card settings. Very useful program, but after a while it stopped working. Well it is working but i cant open it to change my video card settings. Ive read multiple topics about it, but still cant find any ways to fix it. I even updated my Microsoft NET Framework to the last version, tryed to delete and re-install all drivers and Catalyst Control Center components but its still not working. So i beg you for help if anyone had such a problem please tell me how to fix that.
Hardy
I would trying removing the card completely and uninstall everything to do with ATI in safe mode, otherwise you might just have to either start again from scratch with a full disc format and reinstall and/or purchase another video card, preferably Nvidia. Bars
Go in to your control panel, go to programs and features, uninstall Catalyst Graphics Drivers, and then reinstall them from the ATI website.

Damn i think i have to live with that problem because im not ready to full disc format... for now. Anyway thanks for the help.
Semi
Tryed to find and delete specific keys in Global Assembly Cache (GAC) //C//Windows//Assembly//1b03e6acf1164f73 with 90ba9c70f846762e like they have info about older version of Catalyst and they conflict with new version. And i couldnt find them, they just dont exist. After spending 4-5 hours on random forums i said to myself FU*K THIS SH*T ATI YOU SU*K HUGE BALLS. Jesus can you even imagine that to run 1 program smoothly you have to find and delete something that dont even exist in Windows plus you have to re-install drivers for ATI card for like 10 times in a row to get fu*king nothing. This is it...
Asulynn
ATI drivers have always been complete shit. A few things yer gonna want to download: CCleaner: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8GJNFAH8 no install, both 32bit and 64bit versions are in there.Driver Sweeper: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LSKJCSFUI don't know what card you have: http://support.amd.c...ages/index.aspx You'll want the full suite.Open CCleaner - Make sure everything under Windows Explorer and System category is checked. Analyze, then run cleaner. In the same program go over and click on tools - Find the Catalyst Control Center as well as ATI Catalyst Install Manager in the list and run uninstaller on both of them. (Not delete entry, just the uninstaller) Don't restart yet.Same program still, click the 'Registry' tab - Scan for and fix everything that appears in the list. Still no restart yet, you'll probably be running at a bare minimum resolution without an actual driver present.Install Driver Sweeper if you haven't already; run it. Select everything ATI, then hit 'clean'. At this point there shouldn't be anything left of the driver to speak of.Restart.Install latest full driver suite you downloaded earlier.Restart again. Still that freaking Catalyst control center is not running out but on step 2 i could not find the Catalyst Control Center so i just uninstaled ATI Catalyst Install Manager, and on step 3 my resolution was normal as usual. Sigh. Thanks for the help Sarah but i think that problem will solve by itself after disc format, or ATI just fu*ked up with those drivers. So uh lets wait for another version. PS The most interesting thing that i can see in task manager that mom.exe and ccc.exe are working just fine.
Hardy
I really think you should purchase another video card because what is to stop the problem reoccurring if we don't know the cause? The card is useless to me if the drivers don't work. There are some really good cards on ebay for under $150.

Asulynn
PS The most interesting thing that i can see in task manager that mom.exe and ccc.exe are working just fine. End task both of those and manually start them again from a new task? (windows key + R for run window, then type in mom.exe and ccc.exe) If all else fails you could use the alternative, http://www.guru3d.co...ti-tray-tools-/ made specifically for ATi (probably for just this reason...) and you pretty much get all the same stuff, and then some. http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/4308/unledsfc.png Just in a bit of a different layout. (windows key + R for run window, then type in mom.exe and ccc.exe) Ended both tasks and started them again nothing happened, they just again in task menu. Lmao this is rediculous. Yep i think i have to use that ATI Tray Tools for some time... Anyway i suppose that we tryed everything that could help me to fix that problem so lets just sit and wait untill guys from ATI will creat something good that could fix that problem. Thanks for the help everyone at least we tryed:)
Hardy
Video card is working just fine but the problem is that i cant use program which allows me to change settings of my video card like fan speed and etc. Which renders the card useless in my opinion if you can't access the settings. Only other thing I'd try is a full disc format. It must be a corrupt windows or an infection somewhere.
Bars
That's not the cards fault, Hardy, nor is it the drivers fault really. He mangled an update by updating over his existing drivers. That can be a little messy to clean up but having done the steps provided it should work. But there's always those times where repeated injustices done to the operating system can result in a situation with multiple layers of problems, you might want to investigate such issues as your anti-virus system disallowing the program, try accessing it in safe mode, and inserting your Windows Installation CD and attempting a general repair of system files. Heh thanks for the prely but im not gonna try to fix anything im just gonna wait for the next release of the drivers.
Bars
The drivers seem to be fine, the application is independent of the drivers.

This would be a last resort assuming all those steps don't fix the problem. Sometimes it is quicker and a lot less painful to sell a perfectly working card to someone else and get another one. The old drivers won't reinstall properly by the sounds of it so what else is he suppose to do? If the problem can't be fixed with simple steps, waiting indefinitely for drivers to come out which still may not fix the problem is not the answer. He would be better off working towards an alternative solution.
Bars
The quickest and simplest alternative solution is backup what files you need and re install windows.
Hardy
That was my first suggestion. If hes not prepared to do that either, then he is in a stalemate.
