charizardrules
A problem with loading, not just JP, but any server. It just keeps counting the connecting to server.
KnightFire
I'd check your firewall settings. It may be blocking JA from opening any ports into any server. Otherwise just make sure you have the IPs correct and that your internet status is normal otherwise.
charizardrules
How do I get to firewall settings?
KnightFire
If you're running Windows XP (I'm not sure if it applies to other versions of Windows) you can do so by going to your Control Panel and double-clicking on the icon that says "Security Center". From there you can find your firewall settings and mess around to see if anything has been changed.
charizardrules
Nothing changed. Any other ideas?
KnightFire
Just make sure you're updated to the right version of Jedi Academy. I know you just got back to JA so I'm not sure if you had to reinstall.Different versions of Jedi Academy don't match up with the same servers. It doesn't sound like it's a file problem so I doubt any recent additions/deletions to your pk3 files will make much difference. Right now it's looking like an internet problem. You can get on our forums so you don't have any connecting problems but it has to be something else. I'd try resetting your router and seeing if that changes anything. charizardrules
Ok. EDIT: Nothing happened.
KnightFire
Ok at this point I'd try restoring your computer to a time when you were able to connect to our server flawlessly. Factor in any documents or files you may have made/adjusted in the meantime because it will revert all those files as well. This is kind of a last resort kind of step so hopefully it works if you end up trying it.
charizardrules
How might I do that if my computer doesn't even start up?
KnightFire
...Wait. You said you couldn't connect to any JA server before, but now your computer won't even start? I think you have bigger problems than getting JA to work my friend.
