Dear jedis fellows:

i just happend to fuck my cd player on my pc.

im not allowed to play any cd now, even the jedi academy one. i dont know what am i going to do, cause now i cant play

i know there is a patch that allowe us to play without the cd... does anybody knows something about that????

i will not able to play in a long time cause im a poor jedi and i dont have the money to buy a new cd player.

And regarding your problem, I know that there is a no-cd patch in the latest Ultra Utility if you'd like to try that option.

Like Knightfire said, you should use Bobafett's ultra utility latest version, it has a no-cd crack built in.

Moved it for ya. If you can try, do so with the mini-image of JKA. It's like a maximum of 10 MBs, and you'll have to mount it whenever you want to play it, with alcohol 120% or daemon tools (recommended). There is no standalone No-CD patch for this game as far as i know, besides the aforementioned automatic plugin in the newest UU.

Well there IS, but it makes the game kick you back to the menu every 5 seconds, so it's pretty much useless.

 

So, UU b17 would be the easiest way to get back in. Just download b16, install it then extract b17 in into the folder UU was just installed in and let it overwrite any files in there.

Um... if your situation is related to mine (you got bad grades, your parents decided you needed to study more so they took away your Jedi Academy disc, AND you have no moral value whatsoever or you just plain don't care whether you fail at life or not), or you might have lost or broken your discs... whatever, then simply do the following:

 

Go to this link:

Find The file Jedi Academy SP/MP [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed Image by Darkness (Use ctrl+F if you must.) It should be the first file in the index. Then click on the little picture next to "File Archive [2.6 mb]." Select one of the mirrors and download.

Download and install Daemon Tools from this site:

Now, open up the SWJKJAIMAGE folder you downloaded first (using winrar, google it if you don't have it), and extract JediAcademy.iso. Enter Daemon Tools, go up to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM, set number of devices, and click 1 drive. Right click on it again, go up to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM, Device 0 and click Mount Image. Find the JediAcademy.iso file you extracted earlier and mount the damn thing. After you've done all that, simply run JAMP or Jedi Academy Multiplayer and play the game.

 

--Mac--

 

I don't have Jedi Academy for a mac so I don't know if the file is the one used on the mac disc. So basically I have no idea if this will work. I also couldn't find any virtual cd/dvd rom programs for mac (there must be one somwhere...) so just burn the file to a disc. Download UnRarX (google it) to unzip SWJKJAIMAGE.rar. Now into utilities, and open "disc utility." Click "New Image" at the top, and name it something. Pop in a disc, click burn at the top, and find "jedi academy.iso." and burn it. You should have a new copy of the JKA disc now.

You can replace a DVD burner without having a lot of money - most of them are only about $15-$20, which isn't too bad.

so, i tried instaling UU16, and then i put UU17 inside it. but it doesnt work. i turn on the UU and i went to open the game, still dont work, it continues to ask for the cd

am i doing it wrong? im very clumsy with techs. im begining to feel a little nervous with all of this...

Make sure you start up the right executable. If you replaced the folders with the newer ones and still launched the UUv16.exe (or whatever), it starts up the old one. Start it up with the UUv17a.exe (or whatever again), which is in the same directory. Just look for it and make a shortcut.
