Pulp
So i just finished building my first PC from the ground up today. I booted it up and everything started perfectly, also found my Powersupply comes with a nifty blue LEd lite that shines down on all the nic naks and what not. But my monitor isn't working with the new PC. same monitor i'm using on this PC, Also same graphics card in this PC is going to be in my new one. The blue power light on my monitor is at the inactive orange, meaning there is no signal from the monitor to the PC, yet everything is connected. I've tried unplugging the monitor, switching PCI slots, and taking my adaptor off and using the normal VGA slot, nothing worked. I needz halp specsGeforce 9500GtAMD Phenom x64 gigs ramASUS M4A79XTO Evoand a AOC monitor Halp:/
Nikos
Try connecting another monitor to the new PC. Ask a friend to bring one over or whatnot. Might be a faulty graphics card.

Not a faulty graphics card, I'm using it right now in this computer and it's running fine. But i am going to try a different monitor, even though the monitor is working since i'm also using it right now.
Nikos
Turn the sound up and turn the new PC on. Just to make sure it can actually boot all the way. If it can't then it's not even a graphics issue. Could be anything.
Zan
Try using the default VGA port without connecting the new GPU, if that works try using the same port while the new GPU is connected somewhere else. If the first works but the latter not then perhaps there's a problem with the new GPU or the slot you're trying to connect it to.

If the first works but the latter not then perhaps there's a problem with the new GPU or the slot you're trying to connect it to. There is no Onboard Graphics. And the problem has developed into somethnig a bit bigger, didnt realize it at first but when i start the computer there is no BIOS beep. Already checked the "Speaker" plug that's inside the case. Hopefully it'll all end with me just being stupid and forgot to plug something in, Or i did it right and my mobo is fucked, and it's already past its warrenty
Nikos
If it doesn't boot into BIOS, since you've built it yourself, check all the power supply cables. God knows how many times I've forgotten to give power to the CPU or the VGA.
