Wont be long until our renewable energy issue is worked out, world peace is attained, the secrets of the universe are revealed, and he invents FTL travel. Vaan
I'm already gearing up to fight aliens, and work on the citadel.
Fasttea
Looks like my kinda conversation, 'cept he's got about 3 years more know-how on the subject. ... which sucks ass considering his age. FTL's impossible according to Einstein, but you'd better gear up just in case, Vaan
Jonza
FTL's impossible according to Einstein, but you'd better gear up just in case, Vaan Not according to that kid's theory, or at least what he was trying to explain in the short video with his retard mom and her Ellen. Lolz. Vaan, lets join up @ C-Sec.

SonicPants
In another article it said this kid didn't start speaking until he was 2 years old. I didn't start speaking till I was 3. In the same article it says he hopes to "debunk the big bang theory" :| This kids, smalltime. Haters-gonna-hate'ing aside, I'm down for some intergalatic badassery. Ratatat
Actually, this is fraudulent (Evidently hurr durr). There no way in hell a kid that age able to comprehend what he is talking about or teach himself those subjects. Even if his brain was fully developed he would take just as long for any of us to remember the math formulas for the subjects that were stated. I have calculus in college and it is nowhere near simple enough to learn yourself. My IQ is somewhere around 128 but that does not mean that I know a lot, it simply means that I'm able to solve things in my head, quicker than others. On a side note, i'd rather go to Omega. And be a merc P.SDebunking The Big Bang theory?Sounds like a Christian. (lol)We're not ready for that just yet

Some people remember things just by looking at them; for example a photographic memory. It was mentioned that he has Asperger's syndrome, which can imply other areas of him brain are far more developed than those involving the syndrome. As for picking things up on your own; some people can have incredible mental capabilities. They may see the maths differently, instead of just numbers which you plug into this equation to obtain this answer. Someone I know sees numbers as colours, for example. My current degree is Science, double majoring in Physics and Theoretical Physics. It'd be interesting to see what proofs he comes up with for those claims. Oh I agree but anyone could've told him to say that. Einstein proved the theory of relativity when he was 40. The way this kid is described he will find a way to fly and shoot lazers just using his brain power by the time he is 40. He may have synesthesia but it does not tell us how he "taught himself". Like how long did it take? It is a missing clue for a feat. that can not afford any missing details.I still hold it as fraudulent till he shows us evidence of his claim like you. Haven't decided my major yet, im leaning toward Physics, Theoretical Physics or Astrology. Too bad I can't study Psuedoscience =( An I.Q of 170 is crazy for anyone, INSANE for his age. There needs to be a biography or something about him.

There needs to be a biography or something about him.A friend of mine taught themselves calculus at 13; they just picked up a text book and got going. I still find it hard, and I'm at Uni. If you look through an IQ test, you'll find it's full of logical reasoning - he's probably very good at that. However, if he's got a diagnosis of Asperger syndrome, he's probably got other problems - the majority of people with it are very "socially awkward" for example. Anyone could have told him to say that; you're right. But it isn't beyond the realms of possibility to imagine that he attained that level of knowledge in that field - it doesn't mean he's got knowledge across every subject, or even across the whole of Physics. Zan
If he is what he really seems to be, then I suspect he wouldn't have trouble solving logical and exact science problems, like math, physics and everything related. Now if you ask him about biology or perhaps chemistry, for example, he might not be able to tell you a darn thing at all. Apparently he's being hired as a paid researcher somewhere, so I wouldn't call him a fraud, unless he's really that good.

Still to complete school that early and be at a university is just....Well it isn't impossible but it happens very Rarely. Too bad his mother or whoever was videotaping was half brain dead. Also it wouldn't hurt to see his little theory on paper, since he described light well enough.
SuperHetero
like any other 12-year-old kid. He plays Guitar Hero, shoots hoops with his friends, and has a platonic girlfriend. I know he's 12 but at that age I remember already wanting it....so this Kid is a Genius, but he can't figure out how to enter her 12 year old pants...if he's a virgin by 15, I wouldn't worry about FTL...because in this case it would mean FOR THE LOSE. EDIT: The quote is from the article.
