Hey guys, Figured since I was active again, I'd show you all my new rig.

Here's the particulars:

Case: Have no fricken clue, found it in the dump!

Fans: 1 - 120 MM in the front, 2 - 80mm standard in back, 1 - 80 mm red led side fan

Hard Drive: 500Gb Seagate Sata 7200RPM partitioned into 2 232 mb drives

CPU: AMD Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition overclocked to 3.0Ghz

CPU Cooler: Ultra Xwind 1500RPM 120mm fan with Copper Heatsink.

Graphics Card: Galaxy Geforce 9600 GT Low profile low power (was originally in a desktop flat case)

Motherboard: Biostar TA780G M2+

RAM: 2 Kingston PC-6400 800Mhz 2gb sticks - 4Gb total

Powersupply: Cheapo 450 watt powersupply that originally came with the system

It plays Crysis on High Settings and the CPU never goes above 37c. This thing isn't a beast by far, but it damn well performs.

I want to get a new case, and then a 1000watt power supply so I can run a Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 XLR8.

But that will have to wait for taxes.

His case kinda looks like mine but mine is bigger but wow nice fan lol

It's a mid tower case. I have no freakin' clue as to who it was from. it used to have a door, that was red\black and had a blue led in the front with a Z on it.

The fan is the Ultra X-Wind, not sure wich model it was. Cause I bought two, one had a 80 mm fan, and was aluminum. And then the one I have now. The aluminum one's fan died within a year, so I put this one on.

With that cooler, I get 16c idle temps, and when i'm just surfing the net it goes up to 19. I used Prime95 to stress test it and keep the processor loaded for 48 hours, and the temps never went over 36c.

That was a huge jump from the Smaller aluminum X-wind that kept idle temps in the 30-40c range and I would peak out at 60c.

The motherboard is a Mini ATX motherboard. But it was one of the few motherboards of that size that I could find that could handle more than 8 gigs of ram. unfortunately, two of my ram slots died, so now I gotta get a new mobo anyway.

I plan on upgrading to the Biostar TA790G motherboard because it is cappable of unlocking my AMD Athlon X2 7750 to 3 cores instead of Two.

Oh, and this processor is overclocked to 3.1Ghz from 2.7Ghz. Once I get a better motherboard and powersupply, gonna try for 3.5Ghz.

Anyone have any Motherboard suggestions for an old AMD hard case like myself? I am open to just about anything.
