Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan

It blows my mind that no one has posted this yet, but for the articulate people who are up to date with natural catastrophes, a 8.9 earthquake hit Japan today, resulting in a large tsunami crashing into Japan. Over 100 have been confirmed dead and bodies are littered up at the shores.

You can keep up to date with the videos and articles

As a matter of fact i thought that too, how come noone posted about this yet, not even on the pseudo-twitter thingy.

It really sucks when something like this happens, when there's noone to blame and you just have to plainly suck it up. Anyways, besides the earthquake i heard there was also a fire in an oil refinery and one of the nuclear reactors is overheating due to failure of the cooling system cause of the earthquake.

Hopefully it won't get worse than that.

Thanks to the xbox crew I found out about this as soon as the initial article was up. Wild dude.

Thousands feared dead, more to come with a pending nuclear meltdown, and people on facebook are making godzilla and pokemon jokes. Daaaaang. God bless Americans.

O_o was watching this on news yesterday, is everyone ok?

Over 100 have been confirmed dead and bodies are littered up at the shores.

from that you can surmise that no, everyone is not okay... the death toll is now at over 400, and over 700 missing... and it will only get worse =\

My heart and prayers will go out to all thsoe affected by this. I"ve been watching it from the beginning. (CNN nut) And I have personally pledged support to the Red Cross for their recovery efforts. If you at all can, donate money, food clothes to your local Red Cross. Even if it is a little bit, it all helps.

Here's a link to the Red Cross : American Red Cross

On a similar topic; Is it just me, or does it really seem like the end of the world is possible? I mean, Jesus, all the natural and unnatural disasters we've had in the last ten years alone? It's been worse than in the last 100 years. Don't know about you, but for all its worth, I hope I'm wrong.

Anal raped by american nukes, and now bummed by nature, possible domino effect for fukushima nuclear plant. They never get a break, and never will - sitting on the ring of fire. On the upside, I bet they'll create crazier tv shows after this.

its terrible. i was in a 8.8 earthquake last year and i can tell you guys that is very very ugly thing to experience. tsunamis pass trough the ocean and arrived in other countries and islands all over the pacific ocean. and is not over. after a earthquake that big, the earth continues to shake for years. here in Chile the earthquake was in 27/2/2010 and we still have 7.2 or 6.0 earthquakes since than. all days... we only hope that ends soon.

have a nice daay all you jedi fellows.

We had a small tornato touch down near here, along with some strong winds and mild flooding, I hear that there's all kinds of crazy and weird shit going on around the world... What can I say besides "Damn nature... You scary."?

Recheck those numbers, shit skyrocketed again after a tide of 2000+ bodies washed up this morning. I also haven't checked up on the body count in awhile, either.

Damn.
