Reptar
So, my Flash Player won't play audio, that means no sound from YouTube, no sound from Newgrounds, nothing. I've tried the obvious solutions, uninstalling / reinstalling Adobe Flash, uninstalling / reinstalling my Sound Card / Drivers. No good. I'm at a loss, any help would be appreciated. Dancer
I think a new flash update was released recently, did you download it?Either the new update caused new problems, or you've changed something else.

Zan
Go to youtube and play the video even if you dont hear it. When it's hearing right click the video and go to settings. Go to the fourth tab (the one that looks like a mic) and see if the green bar fills a bit when it's supposed to make a sound. If it is then it's probably a configuration thingy in the speakers icon in the taskbar (the one with the start button). If it's not then i don't know, probably a hardware misconfiguration of some sort, try the dropbox and see if there is another thing to select from. Good luck! Asulynn
It could be a problem in the Java cache, I suppose. Regardless of uninstalling it, its possible that it left it behind. In which case, I would start by clearing your browser cache, first and foremost. Followed by a windows key + R, and type %temp%, ctrl + A to select all and delete it.. Perfectly safe, its just temporary files used by all sorts of things, but rebuilds itself whenever its application is ran again. If there's an error with one or two of them, you can just have windows skip that file. Then clicky-click here. Uncheck the box that says, "Allow third-party Flash content to store data on your computer.", pretty self explanatory what that does. Aaaaaaaaaaand, clicky here, followed by clicking on the nifty little "Delete all sites" button.

It's JUST all flash players. Doesn't matter if it's youtube or not, the "settings" thing applies for the Flash player: http://i41.tinypic.com/enko4.jpghttp://i40.tinypic.com/i3hve9.jpg Try messing arround a little bit there. Don't mind the "microphone" thingy, it's just the sound system. Btw do you remember anything special when this first started happening? Installed some drivers / soft or something? bye
Reptar
I had a small virus before it happened, which is clearly the cause. I had the Antivirus 2010 on my computer that causes the viruses (I did not choose to install it, just saying), I managed to get rid of it, and then this happened. So, I went and played with that, the Sound system is what it should be, still nothing. Although, that is for my audio input, not my output. That should not effect the sound exiting from my speakers, especially since my audio input of choice is a completely external hardware.
Zan
Well, if you're 100% sure it's because a virus you should download kaspersky internet security, the trial, and clean it out. If not then i ran out of ideas
Reptar
The virus is long gone, I'm not 100% sure it's because of the virus either.
Nikos
Sarah pretty much summed up my suggestion. If it doesn't work try re-installing your browser or installing a different one. If all else fails, System Restore to before the problem started. Cheers.

Hardy
Do this. Have 2 HDDs in your PC. One big, one small. Put your OS on the small one and your rubbish on the big one. As long as you don't format the wrong drive, you can't go wrong. Note: always format the SMALLER drive. or use an external HDD for your noobness. I have a 3rd HDD for each pc i have with a ghost image which I update every month. So i just ghost that over the ruined OS and im at most, 1 month behind in the future. I still say reinstall windows. jonf
What version of flash player are you using/attempting to use. You stated the latest, so I'm assuming 10, which leads me to my next question. Have you tried degressing back to 9 (completly uninstall 10, then install 9) to see if the sound works with 9? There have been some who have gone back a version, and had it work fine again (on 9), while it didn't fix the problem for others. Just a thought.
