i found the reason!

Hello guys. im playing this game for almost six month now in your server and i just notice a fiew things that you might find incredible:

1- i play in a notebook, a fine one, but is a notebook, with no mouse, and the keyboard doesnt allowe me to press more then 3 buttons at the same time!!!!!

2- when im fanning or doing that diagonal move in staff y can go to left side, but i cant go to right side

3- i cant do fann side to side.

4- my ping doesnt help and when i put /snaps 40 is worse, i cant move like before again, i lost control in my moves.

 

today, after chating with some players i tried to play using a mouse. Jesus, i couldnt even see anything, its insane, i dont know how you guys use mouse, but my jedi started to look all around and i couldnt see straight. (of course i couldnt fight better) SO:

i need you guys to tell me how is your keys configurations, how you guys use mouse, where you put the buttons (attack, style, left right ...) and finaly if there is anything i can do to improve my keyboard and my playing, other then buying a new pc because im a poor jedi.

If you're view is jumping around when you move your mouse slightly, your sensitivity is too high.

 

/sens 5 is the default setting and command. You can lower it or set it high, and you can use a decimal place, I believe. If it's too sensitive, lower it.

 

My mouse setting is:

 

Left click: attack

Right Click: Alt attack

Scroll up: Cycle saber style

Scroll down: Cycle weapons

 

As for improving, practice. With a higher ping, you need to be able to predict where those with a lower ping are. You see them roughly a second or half a second behind their current movements (for me of 250-300 ping and an opponent with 70) so if they're jumping towards you, they're probably already near you. Prediction needs a lot of finesse.

is there a way to program mouse just to do moves side by side and not up and down?? (sorry, im a complet ignorant)

i would like to know if there are players who plays with joypads or something, and what are their experiences!

thank you semi. isthere anybody who play just with keyboard buttoms? im trying to avoid mouse, but i guess is the only way for fighting well!

Mouse3(Push in/click scroll wheel)/Alt key: Alt Atttack

Ctrl and C: Crouch

Shift: Walk

 

Sensitivity around 6, try /sens to figure out what yours is. You can adjust it by doing /sens value

 

You can't use three keys at the same time? You should be able to fan right and left, as you hit attack and left or right. However you wouldn't be able; Fan while: Walking/Crouching for horizontal or diagonal, Jumping fan(holding jump), you can tap and then go: Horizontal/Diagonal. Neither would you we able do a right/left diagonal swing with red style, and you can't do DFA's and blue lunge? And probably some other things as well.

Also, yes there is a way to make the sensitivty for up and down less. Often people drop this value to ensure a better poke, rather than having the poke going up and down uncontrolled.

thanks for the answer nuke, and no, i cant do all that stuff you said. is strange cause i cant turn right when am forwards and doing some fann, i just can turn left.

also,if it is posible to do less up and down in mouse, how can it be done?

conclusion: i will need to practice how to use mouse i guess!!
