Cmdr. Zap
Yeah, I've been watching this. I already own all the SW games on sale thus far, but I'm hoping their windows-ready version of Dark Forces goes on sale next!

Last time i checked it was released as the 2nd demo, having half of the game, and this was 2 years ago. But i'd say use DosBox, that's the way i'm playing System Shock, and it's awesome. They did do a GREAT job on Tak base though. But in all honesty, it's just not dark forces with out the Arc Hammer and Imperial City. I could use DosBox, this is true. In fact, the version that steam sells uses a pre-configured Bosbox. It's just kinda nice not to have to configure it all the time. Not worth the normal $10, but I'd pay $2.50 for it, and I'd get a backup too, so well worth it.

Hmm, i never figured it out myself how it was possible, but the version of System Shock that i have has a preconfigured file. Maybe buggering with the dosbox.conf (opened it with notepad++), and adding the commands after the autoexec part would do something, mine looks like this and it starts from the dosbox.exe just fine loading the game right away: [autoexec] # Lines in this section will be run at startup. mount S . S: copy CYB~DB CYB.CFG cdshock.exe I'm completely in the dark regarding the cyb~db part, but try adding the game .exe to the last line after the autoeec part, maybe it'll work (and do the mounts of course). I'ma give it a try with The Dig or another oldie.

I don't have my Dark Forces disk with me ATM (tis at my house in CO), but I'll have to try getting it set up when I get back there.
