circuit///hero
Is it possible to download the maps used on the JP server onto my computer so I can fool around with the size boons on a local server I create?
SonicPants
well you could always just use GTKRadiant and load up ffa3 and pretty much add the boons and whatever else you want yourself. I think(and i could be wrong) that the maps we use are still technically ffa3 and skub has modified them without altering the file itself.

It's not as simple as opening GTKRadiant and adding the boons. <_< But you are correct in saying it's the same ffa3 file... Just the entities that have been modified... But that doesn't matter for the end-user because the server defines the entities... Hence we see the edited maps.

If someone who has the maps on their computer is willing to give them to you, you can. Sv_download is set to 0 so you cannot download them directly from the server. If you're still interested in a more indepth look at this type of stuff, just hit me up on the server, xfire, or msn.
Carr D' Argo
To not open a new topic, would not it be great to add new maps. I understand that several problems will arise such as: Ping / lag and download additional load. But I think we must try and try, the server has already gained great popularity over the years and do not think anyone would be offended, they face difficulties. KnightFire
If you're talking about updating the FFA maps, we are already in the process of adding some fresh stuff to those.
